Origin

Calcite is found globally, with notable deposits in Mexico, the United States (Iceland spar), China, Brazil, and Peru. It often forms in sedimentary rocks, particularly limestone and marble, and is also a major component of cave formations like stalactites and stalagmites.

In Chinese culture, white calcite is associated with clarity, purity, and energetic cleansing. It is believed to open the mind to higher knowledge and harmonize one’s qi.
