Mineralogy
Serpentine, known in Chinese as Xiu Yu (秀玉) or Xiuyan Jade (岫岩玉), is a hydrous magnesium silicate often mistaken for jade. It has a soft, waxy texture and is commonly found in green tones ranging from pale olive to rich forest hues. While not a true jade, it carries similar grounding and protective energies.
